What began as a thank you for newspaper clients has soared beyond all expectations to become a true celebration - a celebration of our region's youth. York Region Newspaper Group's Celebration of the Arts is a showcase of the brightest talent in our region, the very best of whom are given bursaries to further their artistic ambitions.

In our event's ninth year, we presented a gala evening featuring performances by some of the 2009 bursary winners.

In nine years we have awarded over $280,000+, 175 bursaries, thanks to our ever-growing list of sponsors.

2010 is our 10th Anniversary, and we will be returning to the Markham Theatre for our gala evening which will be held on Saturday, October 2nd 2010.
